MISSION

Mission R&D is an innovative initiative with the mission to “Contribute to the growth of India’s R&D ecosystem by developing the most promising technology students, especially women, and by supporting the talent needs of product companies including start-ups”.

There are some fundamental issues with our current engineering education model. Static curriculum, theory oriented approach, exam centric learning model is resulting in students graduating with poor knowledge of fundamentals and lack of preparation for real world software development roles. Although more than 300,000 engineers graduate in computer science and related fields each year from about 3500 engineering colleges, many are unemployable, and a very small number of them qualify for R&D roles.
